There is no better proof that you are providing a valuable service to your customers, than the continued need to expand your Facilities.

This was the demand placed on Anthony Lamb, manager of the Capita TDS document storage and mailroom services Facility in Darlington.

Anthony and his team have seen a massive 533% growth in business since January 2008, which is a testament to the high level of service provided by CTDS, and the growing expectation placed on us by our customers.

As part of the FTSE100 Capita group, Capita TDS provide an end-to-end document management service, ensuring that our customers are best placed to cope with the demand of ever increasing volumes of paperwork. To reflect this growing need, CTDS have had to increase resources, and react quickly to the requirements of the market place, something we have proved we are capable of with the rapid expansion of the Darlington facility.

The Darlington site started life as a 30,000sq storage facility, offering our customers a secure place to store their archives. However in January 2008, due to the increase in business and the recognition of the need for digital mailroom services, the warehouse doubled in size to offer 60,000sq ft of storage, plus a new of a state of the art scanning and mailroom facility.

At this point Darlington had provision to store 5,500 pallets and digitise over 1.1 million images per month, however by July 2008 there had been no let up in demand, Capita TDS once again doubled its capacity to 120,000 square feet, enabling them to store in excess of 9,000 pallets at any one time.

And so to 2009, trends have proved that storage needs are increasing and to be ahead of the game Capita TDS are proud to announce that as of March 2009 we are adding provision to store a further 3,500 pallets and house 60 expert scanning and mailroom facility staff.

This latest change will give CTDS the to ability to store up to 800 million documents on behalf of our customers – keeping all your data safe and secure.
